Horse Whisperer

Hi pumpkins!

Melbourne weather is great too! Sunshine and some wind breeze. The fact that autumn is here and yet, you get a day or two of temperature increased to a moderate of 20 degrees! Perfect! How i wish this will last for long!  ;)

It's been 2 weeks plus since i came back to Melbourne. My other home apart from Malaysia. Sometimes i wonder myself.. Being away from home and coming back to 'home'. It feels surreal. It's like, a part of me wanted to stay in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Yet another part of me wanted to get back to Melbourne. Some people thinks that studying abroad gives you all the freedom to party wild and stay  away from home all day.. Well, i guess that's not the case for me. I literally stay at home most of the time, apart from getting to uni, working and a few birthday party occasionally..  It's funny how it transform from being bored at home --> to home's good! why would you want to leave?

Im kinky.. I know.. hahaha.. :p  Things change as you are situated in different environment. I can certainly say that I have changed alot since i first study in Melbourne. Growth you can say. Both mentally and physically.. *grin*

Anyhow, I'm daydreaming a bit in this lovely morning and wanted to share a list of photos that my lovely friend Renee Ho shoot. That's why my tittle as above. I ride a horse!!!!! How whimsical! hahaha..

                                              Lots of love from Peanut!

We woke up at 5 in the morning just for this shoot, and boy! it was definitely worth the effort. Gazillion thanks to Kenneth and Rueann for keeping me and Renee accompany. *sniff*

Huxtaburger

Hi there again~    There's quite a number of places that I've went last week.
Tried a couple of burgers and brunch places! keep munching away~ oh dear! i can imagine myself expanding side way REAL soon! >.<
Since Shaunie is the JAFFY(just another f*cking first year) here. I decided to bring him around Melbourne CBD and Huxta shall be the first stop! hahah.. to be honest, i havent been to Huxtaburger. It's my first time as well.. So ashamed in fact! :p
Hop onto tram 86 and get off at tram stop 15. (right in front of Crumpler store) walk across the road and you will see the light shining.. Haha,, just kidding!

Here's the address in case you need it!
106 Smith St, Collingwood VIC 3066
SO EXCITED!

Can't get enough of Huxtaburger? Get their tshirts!!

Shaunie's Huxtaburger *beef pattie* (8.50 AUD)
. Although the appearance MAY not be very appealing. Thou shall not be conned. It is so yummy! Patty was juicy and tasty! It isn't oily and there's a moderate amount of vegi.. *health conscious*    It tasted better than My BurgerLab!
Here's my SONDRA aka tofu burger (9Aud)
It suits people like me who prefer small portions.
I mean Aussie food are really good in general but the portion! WHYZ!? When ever i dine in a restaurant, there's so many dishes that i would die to try! However, the portion is often to huge for me. I didnt like to waste food and hate to overfeed myself which is bad for health! Dont CHU agree Small eater out there? :0

I <3 soft buns and the sauce mix really well with the tofu! it IS yum! One thing about it is the sauce that tends to drip everywhere. You will need to wash your hands by the time you finish one burger coz you've got sesame soy sauce All over your fingers. *finger licking good?* ;)

Afterall, i will come back again to try on other burgers but takeaway probably! Coz there's not much spaces in the restaurant for ya to seat. So either be there early or, Wait!
I guess that's one of the reason why water aren't free in this place?! so you wouldn't stay there for long! hah!

Till then! xx

Dinner at Terra Rossa

Hello peeps!  This is a dinner post for Marcus's farewell! :) Our initial plan was to Cumulus Inc  along Flinders Lane. This restaurant does limited reservations. That's why we didnt manage to book any tables for eight of us! I guess places like this is slightly more suitable to go in smaller groups as the places are pretty limited. Cumulus Inc received many awards. Solely The Age Good Food Guide, Cumulus got in for four years consecutively!   I am highly anticipated to dine here another time! Hopefully i can give you all a glimpse of how it's like there real soon!! :)

Anyway, we wandered along Flinders Lane and found a couple of restaurants and decided to get into Terra Rossa Restaurant Bar.  The decoration here have a mixture of oriental and modern western twist. Fairly dark atmosphere. So if you dont fancy dark environment, this wouldn't be your first choice!

Woon Yin and JU!

Our entree.   Scallop with smoked ham. I quite like this one here because it's a familiar taste and you can never go wrong with ham!!

Other part of our entree.  I dislike smoked duck and raw beef. it's like chewy jerky with powdered spices! urgh!

Us! :)

The dessert menu.
So sorry that i forgot to take pictures of our desserts. Im too busy to dig in once they landed on the table. Heh.

BUT!

The Panna Cotta was REALLLY good! Gooey and rich! there's raspberry to balance the sweetness.

While i was walking back to my apartment! Bump into Mario and he was performing! Such coincidence that the Tram restaurant past by and i captured it!! yay! :)

Till then! :)

au revoir

Within two day of my arrival in Melbourne. My friend Marcus is leaving to Singapore. He couldn't manage to apply permanent visa. Thus, gotta leave.. :( i felt it's such a waste for this talented pastry chef! And i wont be having someone who accompany me for food hunting anymore! :/ Will certainly miss you much!!

Here's what i tried from Le Petit Gateau. Fruit tart i reckon. Can't remember the name. There's apricot and mascarpone with shredded pumpkin seed. Rather refreshing i can say! :)
Tasted a lil sourish! It's my type of dessert certainly!  Would definitely go back for this. We went to Le Petit Gateau a little too late.  Didn't manage to try Brownie and Passionfruit Chocolate Gateau! :( oh no!

Just a friendly reminder :  Come here earlier! they close at 5pm and don't open on weekends! Cool ain't it? :) Give it a try! :)

Here's the address :  458, Little Collins Street, Melbourne.

What we had for lunch! :)

back to square one

Four months time certainly past fast. It is time for me to leave my family, friends and most importantly Kenneth. I'm heading back to Melbourne in another 48 hours. The mixed feeling is in me again. Leaving for studies for good. I have another two more years till my studies are completed. And yet i wonder, am i making the right choice to study abroad. Certainly, I have grown a lot. But being physically leaving my love ones making my heart ache badly.

Although deep down, i know i will be back in another 4 months or 9 months. Im not sure if i want to come back during my winter break. Should i? Should i not? Part of me wanted to stay in Melbourne to work and probably travel around Australia a lil. Yet, another part feels like coming home. AND be surrounded by the love ones and especially this bunch of friends that are my biggest sources of happiness. Close friends know you best. And you wouldn't feel stressed when they're around... :)

I gotta say that I'm really blessed in this four months for what I'm able to do when i'm back here. Travelling to Ipoh, Bandung and Jakarta. Hanging out with my bunch, Lazing around with dear and the recent PD short trip with him.

Im glad for we both are able to make it for the short and sweet trip. Time seems to slip away so quickly when you're around. Thank you for bringing me laughter, encouragement, piggy back, carrying me all around.. It will be kept in my memory bank for a long time i suppose.
That  moment when we gaze through the sea, sitting side by side peacefully. The breeze was blowing to my face and hair. I peek at you for a little while and my heart pounds quickly.

It feels like, we have been together for so long. That our conversation started to sound like some married couple. hahah... I enjoyed his company so much that it makes leaving him apart so freaking hard. why oh why..
some times, i wonder what if you're able to study abroad with me. How would it be? If only.. life's easy as we want it to me.

Will people be numb to separations?
How long can we last?
Why us?
